  1. Hm. The R16 with battery and a set of Tevidon primes is 2820g, the Bolex Rex 4 with 3 Schneider primes without electric motor is 3400 g. Electrically driven it will be more than 5000g...
  2. I have them both, the Bolex SBM and the R16 and the 2016, respectively. In most cases I use the Beaulieu, the r16 as well as the 2016. Focusing is a joy, as the finder is bright and brilliant, and picture quality is equal - to my opinion. And the Bolex is a heavy brick...

  4. I have a meter and a (new) CdS-cell, there is no further electronics in the meter circuit, so it should work. The motor is same as in a 4008, so you might be lucky to get an old one for a spare part crop. Over all, the R16 is simple, and you can get a service manual on www.filmvorführer.de. Björn Andersson in Sweden still repairs Beaulieu movie cameras and has spare parts in stock. Regards, Thomas
