First of all, thank you so much for answering my questions David. It was set to super 16 a while back when I first received the camera and I haven't had a problem like this. I moved the ground glass and the image I get through the viewfinder is centered. The Lens port was never touched so it should still be in super 16 and I tested it with a zoom lens and that doesn't seem to be the problem. I've managed to move it a bit more to the center but still not exactly where it should be. IMG_2259.heic

So a few weeks ago the eye piece was jammed so hard and I took it to a technician. It was only released after using a soft mallet -- but I'm wondering if the impact affected the video assist. It seems like what you are referring to in terms of the beam splitter may have to do with this?

When looking through the viewfinder the image is centered but the image shown on monitors is not centered. Ive tried to adjust it by moving the viewing screen as well moving the Allen screw for the beam splitter axis adjustment.

It may be hard to tell but the frame is slightly flushed more to the right. How do I go about centering this?

Looking into buying a used tripod for the aaton XTR plus. These things are obviously very pricey so my question is, what is the bare minimum required for the weight load of the camera? I understand there are different circumstances with it being rigged up with a bunch of accessories and monitors vs. a minimal set up. Could you guys recommend some options i can look into? Some lower tier and mid tier tripods that support the camera? I've used an O'connor 2575D fluid head before. Would a manfrotto 546GB work for instance?

traveling to LA any recommendations for getting 16mm film developed and scanned ? maybe even super 8. greatly appreciated

Hello, I plan on traveling with my aaton XTR plus from europe to the states. Will I have any issues bringing it on as a carry on luggage? Also, any recommendations on cases because the original metal case it came in will not be appropriate for travel. Any other tips or recommendations would be appreciated.
