  1. Like everyone is saying. All lenses are different, but I would stick with one of the following; Fuji E Series, Zeiss DigiPrime or and Optimo HD. But if you want to use primes you should use primes. If you have a good crew, and you plan propery you should not have any problem using primes. It only takes one second to change a lens. You should use what you are most comfortable with.
  2. I would go with the Zeiss DigiPrimes and DigiZooms or the Fujinon E series
  3. Must be set at 24frames and 59.94Hz for 23.976fps. The VariCam frequency is switchable between 60Hz and 59.94Hz. When the frequency is set at 60Hz it records at the indicated frame rate. When set at 59.94Hz all the frame rates are actually 0.1% slower than indicated. 30 becomes 29.97fps, 24 becomes 23.976fps and so on. Hope that helps
  4. There is a book called "Goodman Guide". The book comes with scene files. It's also a great book that breaks down the Varicam.
