  1. Shooting in a studio that was built into a modern building in Beverly Hills. Apparently the studio was an after thought. The team before me tried using a hazer and various fog machines but each ended with a visit from the fire department and having to evacuate the building. I really want to get some texture out of my lights, is there anything short of dry ice I can use that won't get us busted?
  2. If you're negotiating for yourself try to get them to agree to overtime, not just a flat rate. Also, spell out the pay schedule clearly with penalties for late payment.
  3. Shot this for AOL Sessions last month. Really enjoyed working with her.
  4. Don't limit me to 10! Films I loved; 2000-2009: Spirited Away Breaking the Waves Eastern Promises 2046 About Schmidt Superbad Three Burials of Melquides Estrada Old School Amores Perros Lost in Translation Amelie Sideways There Will Be Blood Old Boy Secretary The Good Girl Memento Hero No Country for Old Men The Hangover The Wrestler City of God Children of Men
  5. Loved the film, Eric. Great decisions in exercising the restraint this kind of film benefits from. Jason is quickly turning into one of my favorite directors out there. Good to see you working with Zoran. I had a chance to work with him a few years ago. Hope you enjoy the holidays, what's next?
  6. Going back to the original post, you can see Super Baltars in as recent a film as "The Brown Bunny" shot in S16. However, as I recall these lenses are radioactive.

  8. The video is set to "private".
  9. Refurbished by Bernie O'Doherty at Super 16, Inc. Ang 12-120. Please make offer.
  10. Congrats Eric, saw the trailer on the big screen this weekend in front of "The Informant!" at the Bridge Cinema De Luxe. Looked amazing. Keep it up.
  11. I was the DP. Hopefully the link works: Gaga
  12. I don't get to DP all of these but I really enjoy it when I do: http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?sid=...YUed&ref=mf
  13. The Whiskey Saints are an L.A. based band with Nashville influences. I was commissioned to shoot their first music video. Needless to say the budget didn't even cover the airfare but it was worth it. What did Orson Welles say, "The lack of limitation is the enemy of art"? Tennessee Much different than the Lady Gaga performance I recently posted.
  14. Shot this for AOL a few weeks ago. The funny thing is it leaked before AOL could debut it: "Let's Dance"
  15. Any one ever work on one of these live performances or know who produces them? Thank you,
  16. It depends on what you're trying to accomplish first. There are ways to make lights larger and softer, there are ways to shape light, and there are techniques to control the texture and pattern of light. Then you add color to the mix and you can accomplish quite a lot. Can you give us a scenario so we can consider a few approaches? That will provide a lot of insight as no two DP's approach photography exactly the same way. Cheers,
  17. It'll pick up, you're a talented guy. I have family down here but I also got commissioned to shoot a music video. I was down here last month getting footage in Gatlinburg, Lynchburg, and Nashville. Now I'm concentrating on Memphis. The title of the track is "Tennessee". BTW, I found someone who can rent me a Ronford. Cheers, Bill
  18. Hey Allen, Happy holidays. Yeah, I sold the Bogen and bought a Vinten but I didn't bring it to Memphis with me. I traveled with a tripod over thanksgiving and it was'nt pleasant. What've you been up to? Bill
  19. Nothing big needed, just a fluid head for my HVX. Would like to rent for the day, somewhere between 12-28 to 12-31-08. Thanks,
  20. Can anyone recommend a good technician that can give my Vinten Vision 12 an overhaul? Thanks,
  21. Bill Totolo

Can anyone tell me if you can jam synch time code between multiple Sony Z7U's?
