  3. Hello Everyone, I'm back from South America and need to sell my Arriflex 16SR camera with the Arri Talbot sound blimp by December 20th. Shipping is FREE. I can only ship to the lower 48 states. Shipping will be done via Amtrak (so you must be close to an Amtrak station or willing to travel to the closest one). Amtrak is a great, safe way to ship heavy items. You can pay by credit card or Paypal through Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/195118392/arriflex-16mm-film-camera-arri-sound Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about any of these items and I w
  4. Hello all, I am a student interested in filmmaking and i have an idea for a short that I would potentially like to shoot on super 8. I use a canon 514 xl which shoots at 18fps and gets scanned in at 24. I end up bringing it back to its original speed in premiere later on but i would like to record dialogue at the same time for a little 2 minute short. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with blimping this camera or recording dialogue with a similar super 8 setup as I would much rather use film than digital for this project. I appreciate any advice you guys can give me. Tha
  5. I'm selling my very rare Arriflex 16 Fiberglass Blimp. This is for use with either a 16S or a 16M and and mounting plates for both are included. This was purchased a few years ago from forum member Tim Carroll who also ran the great website www.arri16s.com. Tim did a beautiful job of restoring this gorgeous piece of film history. The lens pictured is not included. The 16M camera and mags are not included, although they are for sale separately (see separate listing). They are in these photos only to demonstrate how a camera would fit inside the blimp. I also am separately selling a Tobin TX
  6. HI There! I just got an Arriflex 16 SR1 (somewhat by accident) and I have a few questions. :) The seller had "1 - Video Assist Optics" listed as one of the items that comes with the camera. I thought I knew what this meant. I thought it was a viewfinder piece that would allow you to hook up a camera to it. However when the camera arrived today, what it has looks like the standard Arriflex viewfinder (like the one in the manual). The seller sells a lot of these things and all of his listings say "1 - Video Assist Optics". This being my first time owning one, do I need to get something e
  7. I just got a Bolex H-16 Blimp in the mail today. I bought it on Ebay. The seller really didn't do this thing justice. WOW! I can't wait to test it and see if I can get my Rex5 in there or if I can swap out the motor it came with for the Tobin sync I have. It's roomy in there and everything can be unbolted out if need be. Worse case, I can use it as is with a regular H-16. Anyone familiar with these? It was made by some engineering company called Sonex. These photos make it look small but it's pretty huge... I have to put this on one of my big beast/crane tripods.
