David Silverstein
Do these freeze frames look extra nice for a consumer pansonic camera. I bought for something around 250 it is out of production and it was open box. Anyway the model number is like gs-120 I think. Its 3CCD so it looks ncie just was wondering if you could mistake this to the look of a movie. I plan on getting DVFilm Maker and transfering it to 24p. Comments are appreciated. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted January 1, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 1, 2006 (edited) Well, since it's not moving, you can't see the motion artifacts of interlaced-scan video, so all I can go by is the high depth of field, general lack of sharpness, lack of grain, and clippiness around the bright lamp to say that it was a video image. Probably the lack of any grain and the clipped highlights around the lamp are the two biggest clues. The clippiness can be controlled by lighting & exposure to some degree. It's a good image for a cheaper consumer DV camera, sure. Edited January 1, 2006 by David Mullen
