Duncan Trevithick
I'm interested in lighting so I think it makes sense for me to buy my own lightmeter. I've used a Sekonic Flashmate a bit at college but it's mainly aimed toward still photography and is (I think) fairly expensive. Can anyone recomend a decent, good value meter? Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted June 5, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted June 5, 2011 I don't think you can go wrong with the Sekonic L-398A (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/435535-REG/Sekonic_401_399_L_398A_Studio_Deluxe_III.html) It's analog and despite my fantastic L758 Cine I keep it in my bag always as a back up because it doesn't need batteries. Also it'll get you thinking, one hopes in Foot Candles which can be much more useful than just getting the "f" stop number. Plus, it's cheap to buy new!
