Austin Millinder
Hello friends, i was looking around for a cheap, but good, monitor and came across this: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/pho/3105607514.html my question is: is this a good monitor? does anyone recognize the brand? the "keywords" include "lilliput" but i'm not sure if this is a lilliput or not. if so, is it worth getting? is it good for more than just focus (color balance, framing, etc)? Or are there other monitor options I should be looking into that wont brake the bank? i really appreciate any help. Thanks, Austin M Cinematographer

Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted June 30, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted June 30, 2012 The Lilliput stuff is the standard el-cheapo chinese import, but there's nothing especially wrong with it. They're plasticky, but for the money, what d'you want. I own (and have owned) several of the SD ones with just composite inputs, so I can't vouch for the HDMI input stages. All I'd say is that it certainly won't really have 1920x1080 pixels; it might be 800x480 or something. Full HD displays of that size, if they exist at all, cost a lot more than $175.
