Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted September 30, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted September 30, 2014 I think only a video engineer would be interested in seeing the blanking area and sync-burst signal by using H-V Delay but I suppose if something seemed wrong with the picture's sync, someone might want to check that aspect. As for watching the full pixel-to-pixel image in underscan versus using overscan, it just may because someone might want to see the area that most TV sets would show, or just wanted a slightly larger image on their monitor, like for focus-pulling.
