Austin Comer
Hey there. I'm looking to purchase a Bescor Battery belt for my Arri S2. There are so many different models, amps, and packages. I'd love any advice on which one to go with. I'd like to feel confident that it'd last at least a full day. I'll be powering the camera, a Speed Control, and video tap. Also since I'm unfamiliar with them, is there a way to change the batteries inside the belt if they die? or is it only by charging? Thanks for your time. Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted August 19, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted August 19, 2019 The lowest capacity Bescor 12V battery belt I can see is 7 Ah, which should be more than enough. You should be able to get through at least 5 thousand feet with that. Get one with a 4 pin XLR connector and charger. Higher capacity belts will be heavier, more expensive and not necessary. I've never worked on Bescor belts, but I imagine recelling one shouldn't be too hard. I used to recell Cine 60 battery belts all the time. It's easy to find lead acid cells.
