Filmo Color Screen

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I recently found this device and am wondering if anyone may have insight into what it was used for or what era it is from. It is labeled “Filmo Color Screen

Pat. Appl'd for” and has four color lenses.
I can’t seem to submit a photo, and since no amount research online will produce another example, that is all I can give at this time.

The Bell & Howell Color Screen Attachment accessory of 1927 is placed in front of the lens of the Filmo 57 projector. It allows to swivel any of four filters of the hues pink, amber, green, and blue into the light beam at will. It was meant to enhance the moods of black-and-white film scenes.
