Boris Kalaidjiev Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Has anyone tested it? Do they make 400ft rolls?
Premium Member Sebastian Bock Posted March 14, 2024 Author Premium Member Posted March 14, 2024 It is probably the same emulsion as the 2023 released still film, so you'll find a couple of tests and images online. Since it is an orthochromatic film, it is less sensitive to the red spectrum and it has its highest sensitivty at the green wavelenghts. Here is the datasheet: FOMAPAN 400 (fomaobchod.cz) It is pobably not an "all purpose" film but it is really good news, to have a new tool in the toolbox... As far as I know, Foma sells 400ft rolls only as special order. Regularly they sell the motion picture stocks only on daylight spools. 1
Gautam Valluri Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Bumping this thread to see if anyone has done any tests with the Cine Ortho 400? I bought a roll to shoot some tests (which I will share here). Any tips on exposure or development?
Premium Member Sebastian Bock Posted December 24, 2025 Author Premium Member Posted December 24, 2025 In the German narrow gauge film forum users reported successful negative development with D96 for 7 minutes. Reversal development was done by a user with ORWO A71 developer + KSCN, diluted 1+1 at 22 degrees for 3.5 minutes with pleasing results. Under tungsten light the sensitivity was more towards 320 iso, under daylight 800 iso.
