Tomáz Távora Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hey everyone, I just picked up a cp16r from ebay recently and it has no viewfinder attached. I have seen that the eclair npr can accept cinema products viewfinders but i was wondering if it worked the other way around. I only ask because I am having trouble finding reflex finder designed for a cp-16. it looks like the mount for the NPR finder is similar but only has one notch cut out instead of two and would require modification to the finder or the camera for them to work together. If anyone has any viable alternatives to the cinema products finder or happens to have a spare one I could use, i would greatly appreciate it.
Tomáz Távora Posted May 7 Author Posted May 7 I was able to source a kinoptik finder and sure enough, the neck of the mounting flange not only needed a new groove filed into it but also needed to be shortened slightly to mount snugly on the cp-16. It’s not ideal, but given the lack of any acceptable alternatives, this solution gets the job done pretty well. That being said, I am still on the lookout for a cinema products or angenieux finder if anyone out there happens to want to sell.
