F Bulgarelli
Hello everyone, I just saw "Pride and Prejudice" Beautifully shot film. Does anyone have any information on lenses, stocks, filtration, etc.? Some really good camera movement as well. Thanks Francisco
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted January 26, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 26, 2006 Just from looking at the print, I'd say: Super-35, DI to achieve scope, some net diffusion, high speed film stock. There are some obvious digital exposure corrections when Collins arrives at the ball and goes from his carriage into the house -- the middle of the steadicam move is badly "gain-boosted". You can see a net pattern in some of the out-of-focus points of light and then the sun hits the lens, but I don't know if the whole movie was netted or just select scenes. Premium Member Max Jacoby Posted January 26, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted January 26, 2006 I saw a picture of the director behind an Arricam with an Optimo Zoom on.
Micah Fernandez
Did the zooming get on anyone else's nerves?

Arni Heimir
Have you seen "Barry Lyndon"? David, I have got to tell you that "Barry Lyndon" is one of my favorite films. The cinematography was a landmark in Cinema. The zooms didn't bother me at all.
Micah Fernandez
Have you seen "Barry Lyndon"? No. I have been intending to though. :) It's not that I have anything against zooming per se, it just didn't feel like it fit with the movie. The zooming lent it a certain shock/surprise value which I thought wasn't really necessary.
