Does anyone know if there are 2.35 or 2.40 ground glasses for a standard 35mm gate; specifically for use on a Super America Moviecam Mk2?

If so, what rental houses might have them?

Hi,

Find a rental house near you that rents a Super America. Are you are using anamorphic lenses or do you want to just crop to 2.40?

we're cropping. we tried visual products out of ohio, but they only have it for super 35 gates

2.35 framelines inside of the 1.37 Academy area (sound aperture gate) would be hard to find since it is rarely done. It may have to be specially made. You'd have to decide if you wanted center-extraction, common top, or something in-between.

YOu can hire a Moviecam Mk2 compact at www.golden-eye.nl in The netherlands, They converted it theirselfes, and its amazing, no gate flairs, or whatever.

It has a 2.40:1 groundglass(2.39.1) and they can replace the motor and the gate and groundglass. So they are able, to convert it in couple of minutes to 4 per./3perf or 2 perf.

Check it out!, they are very helpfull so they might help you with the groundglass of your own camera!
