eddiefruchter
Can I get that Nykvist look on Super 16mm? Less Scenes from a Marriage, more Persona.
Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted June 29, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted June 29, 2004 Super-16 is the preferred 16mm format for feature films, and for television (which is going to 16:9 aspect ratio). There is an extensive infrastructure of labs and transfer houses equipped to handle this format: http://www.kodak.com/go/16mm Here are Kodak's B&W camera films: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/products...0.1.4.4.8&lc=en
Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted June 29, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted June 29, 2004 The new Kodak B&W reversal films are really nice, but negative film is more amenable to duplication, and more labs have a B&W (D-96) negative process. Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted June 29, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted June 29, 2004 I thought it a bit weird to put my name on the internet. Then we have alot of weird people on this site. :P Actually, IMHO, anonymous and pseudonym postings often have less credibility in a technical forum. Certainly protect your privacy (don't share your private e-mail address, home address, or home phone number), but a real name and company/school affiliation helps us get to know and trust each other, to better help each other out. I will admit that SPAM has become much more of a problem for me, despite Kodak's firewall and SPAM filters. But I trace most of it to postings on the public usenet groups, rather than these private user groups.
Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted June 29, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted June 29, 2004 I really enjoyed talking to you. Helping customers is what my group "EI Customer Technical Services" does at Kodak. We support customers and their local Kodak technical people around the world: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/order/of...d=0.1.4.5&lc=en http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/about/pm...=0.1.4.11&lc=en
