xoct Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Say, does anyone know of companies that can add 24fps crystal sync to a Nizo camera?
xoct Posted July 1, 2004 Author Posted July 1, 2004 Yipe! $500 or more does seem like a lot. Does anyone else know of a different company to do crystal sync for Super 8?
Scot McPhie Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Hey zerocut I didn't want to add this until we had sorted a few things out but check: http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...?showtopic=1518 Scot

Scot McPhie Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 It's expensive if you only plan to pose with the camera and not actually use it. :D Well value is always relative - if you can afford something and enjoy it then great -- but if you're trying to make your money back on your Super 8 film making then for most people it is expensive in my opinion. Professional DOP's who shoot Super 8 for certain projects probably wouldn't have a problem with the price but for most Super 8 users I think it would be expensive. Scot
Nate Downes Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Scot, any idea on timetable for your motor? The motor on my Vivitar is about to go kaput and I thought it might be an ideal test case.

I'd say about a month - the prototype is still being built - then we'll start a broad range of tests -- unfortunately it's got to fit into other work committments etc at the moment -- but I think a month for the first prototype -- I'll keep you informed :-) Scot
