Ted Hinkle
Ok the CLient hired me to do an instructional DVD video 3500 copies. I sent them a final copy for approval but the client is claiming that it won't play on their laptop, and that it skips. They wan't it to function on all computers. I tested the DVD on my desktop and set-top player and it functions fine. It's my understanding that DVD are designed to play on set-top players for TV's not solely for computer use. Any thoughts on how I can deal with this client. Is anyone aware of some 3rd party printed info. that could help me.
Easton Sheahan-Lee
Did he sign a legally binding contract as part of the order? If so then he is obliged to buy the DVD as long as you can prove it legitimately runs to his lawer on any computer.
Matthew Parnell
Perhaps you are dealing with the clients computer being the problem. Can it play other burnt disks. I know of DVD players that have had issues, but for me computers have not had an issue.
Jonathan Bowerbank
My understanding is that a DVD-R disc is more reliable and plays on more systems than DVD+R discs. Possible?
