Premium Member Greg Gross Posted August 27, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted August 27, 2004 Is it Tele-sign or Tele-seen? I knew that you would be saying it correctly! I do not want to make a fool out of myself in front of my mentor/instructor!
Chance Shirley
I won't claim to be as well-versed in cinematography as Mr. Mullen, but, at the lab I use, they say "tele-sin-ee." -Chance Shirley Birmingham, Alabama
J. Lamar King IMPOSTOR
Well, you know how to pronounce Tele, as in Television. Just add Cine on to the end as in, \'si-ne\, but with a long EEEEE. That sound spelling is from the Websters Collegiate Dictionary and it has a long bar over the E, which I don't know how to do on here, but it means a long E sound. Telecine appears in the unabridged Dictionary and it is definitely Tela-sin-ee or Telee-sin-ee.
