John Carreon
Hey, Quick Question...if someone says they are shooting Super 35mm on an Arri 3...what type of camera is this? Is that a common name for the BL3 or is there another camera by this name...I just wanted to ask around before I asked them. Thanks, John Carreon
Premium Member Michael Nash Posted April 10, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted April 10, 2007 It's the Arri 3: It's an MOS camera capable of high speed (generally 120fps), predecessor to the 435. Interestingly, I just googled "arri 3" to find that image...

Premium Member Stephen Williams Posted April 10, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted April 10, 2007 Hi, Not ideal for S35, as the mirror will hit many Zeiss lenses when the mount is recentered. Also viewing optics dont cover S35 as standard. Stephen

Probably the main reason Arri III's go for peanuts. Stephen
