Glidecam 4000 Pro replacement parts?

Recommended Posts

So the rental facility here at FAF has a Glidecam, but it's missing some ball bearings where the handgrip attaches.

Some idiot checked the thing out and assembled the handgrip on incorrectly, tightening it too tight and completely destroying the ball bearing washer that was there...ugh!

I've already emailed Glidecam themselves, but does anyone know where else I should look for this miniscule little part.

thanks!

I've seen it, but never used it myself or held it in my own hands. So I'm a little a loss for the part you are describing. Is is a flat disc, much like a washer, which has ball bearing that rotate and extend above and below its surface? If so, that is a simple thrust washer or axial bearing. They can be purchased at any industrial or mill supply house. McMaster Carr, MSC, J&L, Grainger, etc. Maybe $8 depending on the size.
