Which camera is better?

Recommended Posts

Please help. I'm looking to buy a new camera and here are my options

The one I'm probably going to end up buying is this one

the 700 package.

However,

I was wondering if THIS camera was better? What would be a better buy for a more professional look?

Thx for your help!

Um I'm not positive, but I think that first link for the panasonic camera is a scam, make sure you check out resellerratings before buying from them. Be careful! As far as the cameras themselves, I know that alot of people, including myself, have had good experiences with the dvx. Its a dependable camera with a good rep. Features have been shot on it.

$1,000 for a new DVX100B and $30 batteries going for $150 and $60 batteries going for $250??????????????????

You're about to get totally scammed.

Also, I'm not a fan of built in HDs. I like to record to some type of media. What if your computer has problems importing from that camera? You can't pop the tape out and try another camera. You're in trouble then.

Hopefully he didn't fall for that scam. That's a common practice these store have. They rip everything out of the box and sell the necessary items, such as a battery and charger as "extras."

Look at their Resellerating.com score.

I almost fell for one of those traps. Thank goodness for Google. If it's too good to be true with electronics, especially video cameras, it's in fact too good to be true 100% of the time.

Yeah there are a lot of those gray market guys out there. Sometimes, if you get what you ordered, you find out it's used- you find out there's no warranty. I heard of getting gutted cameras, or ones with nothing included. Those prices should tell you right off the bat that there is something wrong.
