Frank DiBugnara
I just finished shooting a music video for some friends. It was super16, 4 1/2 days of run and gun shooting, pretty low budget. The director was very much into a rough, unpolished, hand held look. "Raw and natural" was the catch phrase for the shoot. He wanted everything (except for the performance stuff) to seem as though it were shot in available light. We ended up lighting everything interior--he was happy with what we got. He wanted the performance stuff to look over the top. It has been pretty well received by the label, the band, MTV, Fuse, etc. Definitely more of a hit with younger audiences than older.... Premium Member David Regan Posted June 21, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted June 21, 2007 Really liked the look to this video. Did you end up using much additional lighting outside, I noticed some in the stills, but I really liked the look of the exterior shots. Nice job. Frank DiBugnara
Thank you. We lit all the interiors but did not light most of the exteriors.
Premium Member Rupe Whiteman Posted June 21, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted June 21, 2007 Nice work Frank... some nice lighting and liked the timing in the transition from the house-set to studio-set... & looked like a fun gig for the props and wardrobe depts. too!
