P Mitcheltree
I have a new 512mb Lexar memory stick pro to format. Do not have the maintenance manual, have the operation manual pdf. Using HDW 900 H camera. any tips on easy way to format this stick ? It probably came from a PC and has wrong format. Operation manual does not cover formatting. Brian Drysdale
The Memory Stick format is in the File Menu: <FILE CLEAR> F7, MS FORMAT (It's second from the bottom). The camera mightn't actually format that stick. They seem to like the older MS.
Premium Member John Ealer Posted July 12, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted July 12, 2007 A lot of Sony cameras can't accept memory sticks larger than 64mb, period. Hard to find 'em that small anymore, so good luck.

e gustavo petersen
Older and smaller sized memory sticks are easily available on ebay. I get them there by the handful. Good luck.
