Wrong way up load footage

Hi

 

 

I have a big doubt... :blink: i shoot some footage 1080i last week on P2, my newbie editor up load the footage via firewire ``digitazing`` all the material. He didn´t know they can up load using the ``PC``mode and make a backup and then importing in FCP converting the files :angry: . Luckyly i have all my footage in my P2, then i up load in the correct way. My big question is what kind of loosing i could have digitizing the footage vs up load direct form P2.
