Shooting low light, camera mounted lighting

My suggestion is... don't.

Unless you're after the "deer in the headlights" look, that is.

The only exception to this is, I shot some quick interiors with a 650w camera mounted light, which I bounced off the ceiling, and it looked pretty good, but there were practicals, and daylight coming through the windows, so it was really kinda just bringing up the ambient fill to give me a better stop.

If you're talking about shooting using nothing but that light, just turn on the 11 o'clock news and watch when they cut to the reporter in the field, 'cause that's exactly what you're gonna get!
