Premium Member Michael Nash Posted April 12, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted April 12, 2008 I don't get it, I can't understand a word they're saying... ;) Seriously; nice compositions and editing. My only critique is in the lighting -- I would have used a little more contrast for modeling and separation, especially with the backgrounds. Some of the image depth falls a little flat because everything is too close to the same value. Otherwise, it's pretty slick.
Oleg Kalyan
Michael, thank you! The voice at the end says the slogan, "Now all the men are yours!" (let me know how does it sounds in English/does it makes sense?) Meaning is, you are not afraid of anyone! Then the voice says the name and and the address. The space was confined, the lighting was limited too, I used a Joker 800w HMI, direct, for couple of shots, bounced it off the wall, and a Fosqy CL-55/4 55 Вт х4, 5500К fluourescent (can see it on background in couple of shots. That was all.
Steve Zimmerman
Looks good. What lenses were you using? It looks anamorphic from the flaring(?). I hope to use my Lomo anamorphic lenses to shoot a commercial or music video when I get my Konvas 1M motor fixed. Oleg Kalyan
Steve, thank you! First of all it was shot on video, Canon H1 with PS technik 35mm adapter. About flare, I tell you my secret, on Zeiss 100mm F2 macro, (most of the shots were taken with this lens), I took off the lens hood, it was shot wide open, some of the shots I took with light source going directly in the lens, I noticed it created some interesting flare, liked it, that how it happened ( I wonder if someone used this technique on purpose?, will ask in different thread) Also used Nikkor 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.2 and Elite 75mm T1.9 I believe. Cheers!

Oleg Kalyan
Mark, thanks a lot for your support! Yes, I really enjoyed working on the project, it took only 4 hours of production time, and a couple of days editing. Beauty attracts, I guess!
