Jake Richardson
would this film stock be good for outdoor nature shots...with good color saturation and decent contrast? or is it more of an indoor film? thank you, jake r.
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted October 25, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted October 25, 2004 Yes, in 35mm, it would be fine for both interiors and exteriors. Sharp, low grain, etc. If you want a more contrasty, saturated look, however, you may prefer EXR 50D (5245) if you have enough light. 5212 (100T) and 5217 (200T) would handle harsh sunlit conditions better being lower in contrast, but for landscape shots, you may prefer the snappiness of '45. Just depends. In Super-16, the choice for me would be between '45 (50D) and '12 (100T), depending on whether I wanted more contrast and saturation versus better shadow and overexposure detail.
