lighting day for night shots

hi, first sorry for my english but it is no my leanguage.

i´m gonna shoot a low budget feature, and i wonder if some one have tips for shooting day for night road exteriors appart of underexposure 2 stops and used the sun as backlight.

As for the question, I would say it depends a lot on the mood you're trying to convey, ya know? There's no such thing as one size fits all lighting that I"m aware of. If anyhing, take a DSLR and play around with some lighting before hand @ the location, if you can. Also, keep your lighting, I would say, motivated.
