Nick Norton
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v502/truespin19/eclair.jpg Thought this looked strange. Isn't the lens supposed to be attached to the mount below? Doesn't look like the lens is doing a whole lot where it is. thanks- Nicholas
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted June 11, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted June 11, 2008 NPRs, like the Bolex and others have a turret mount, so multiple lenses on one camera. I don't see anything particularly odd about this; aside from storing the lens on the camera itself.
Premium Member Chris Keth Posted June 11, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted June 11, 2008 Remember that the NPR is a handheld camera from when documentaries were still done on film. The turret allowed you to have a zoom and a fast prime (there is an f/0.7 1mm switar, for example) on the camera at once and be able to change in an instant. I will admit that for scripted work, it's kind of pointless since your lenses will probably be all in one mount or the other.
