cmos or 3ccd? Help!

I like 3ccd..bit I'm beign sold cmos tecnology instead. Whats theatres difference?

Fede 4444 you must change your display name to your real first and last name.

Go to mycontrols on the upper right side, and then look on the left hand bar for "display name" as per the forum rules.

Well, CCD and Cmos just process the light in a differant way. You can have good Cmos and Good CCD, all in all.

Cmos is generally better with noise and uses slightly less power than CCD, but it really depends on so many parts of a camera as to what is "good" or "bad." FWIW, Cmos is used in digital still cameras

CCD has been around the block as well, all video cameras in the pro world, were, until recently, CCD, so it's a bit of a proven technology:

I am tending towards C-Mos now a days, but that isn't to say a CCD camera won't be wonderful either; the F900, IIRC is a CCD camera, as are most high-end cameras, exceptions would be many of the digital cinema cameras (RED/D21/Genesis).

 

 

Others can chime in more, but the wikipedia articles will give you a basic just. In the end, it's alot more to do with the A/D converter as well as the lens, compression etc which make the picture.
