Morgan Peline
Hi, I just watched 'Wings of Desire' shot by Henri Alekan. An absolutely beautiful film in terms of story, direction and lighting! A definite classic! I was just wondering how they achieved some of the effects. 1. How did they fade from colour into black and white or vice versa in the same shot? 2. How did they achieve the super imposed shots? Do you have to lock off the camera and then film both shots underexposed by a stop or so and then fade them in editing? I'm sure these shots are very easy to achieve, it's just that I'm not familiar with these tehniques. Thanks for your help.
