joe doe
I'm looking for a camera with the following features, the most needed features are listed at the top. Night vision/night shooting Time lapse/interval recording High frame rate for slow motion shooting High definition video that can shoot like this http://www.vimeo.com/431500 Easy to edit video format Noise reducing/wind cutting The closest I have found so far is the Sony HVR-V1U Edited November 2, 2008 by joe doe
Edward Roberts
HVX200A https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/sal...ries/index.html PMW-EX1 http://www.sonybiz.net/biz/view/ShowProduc...XDCAMCamcorders This might be what your looking for. They don't have "night vision" but you can allways rent / buy a night vision adapter... http://www.morovision.com/camera_adaptable/MVPA-914745G.htm http://www.morovision.com/camera_adaptable/MVPA-924002G.htm PS... use your real name lol Edited November 2, 2008 by Edward Roberts
Sean Lyons
I recently bought the HVR-HD-1000U. It's a very good starter camera and very easy to use. Most enjoyable feature is the beautiful picture. Also not too shabby in the night shot. Hope you find what your looking for. Good luck, Sean Lyons
Andrew McCarrick
High frame rate for slow motion shooting If you really want this, the only Prosumer Cameras that can do it are the HVX200 or the HPX170 (both from Panasonic). Jeff Kolada
I own the sony V1u and the HD1000. The V1u is a much better camera, just doesn't have nightshot. But if you have the budget, just buy an infra-red flashlight or something. Most digital cameras can pick up infra-red light. If i'm right, your cell phone will too. Point it at your tv remote and change the channel. If you don't care about nightshot and don't have a budget, the panasonics are the top of the line. HVX puts out a beautiful image and the high frame-rate is true 60fps recording. The sony's smooth-slow downs the quality quite a bit.
