Michael K Bergstrom
Hello, Just had a request to do a car mount with a 750 HD camera, no big deal. But in their broken english email, they said "car mount with suspension rig", I know that we only have "hard mounts" for cameras in the state, anyone know what they mean by this? I can't see that it's a steadycam arm because they want a simple mount, not a full speedrail cage or anything. Thoughts?

I have used a rig that is like a regular hard mount, but the mount plate is cushioned by 4 springs. Perhaps that's what they are referring too ? jb
Michael K Bergstrom
um, have you tried asking them ? Ummm, yeah, first thing I did. No answer back. The springs rigged mount, that's probably what it is, thanks a bunch.
Reil Munro
Bonjour The spring mount being an isolation head...or maybe its one of those funky bungee frames that the camera gets mounted on in the middle (I've never used them) Merci
robert duke
It could mean any of these things. Suspend meaning to rig outside of the car. suspend meaning to hang off of the car. suspend as in vibration isolator (i like the one from Chapman if you have to have it) who knows?
