Terry Robinson
I tried some free storyboard programs and the best one for me has been storyboardartist It's great cuz I can't draw at all and I like the backgrounds I can choose from and it's easy to use. Indie movies rock!!
Gregg MacPherson
Hello, I am a a pretty god producer/director for me still being in highschool. Well I am going to be storyboarding a Independent movie on this book i read. I was wandering what kinda of storyboard i should use? Grab a soft pencil and learn to quickly express ideas on paper early in the development process. Grow some skills and a habit with that and storyboards can feel easy, again with a pencil. Have a look at sketches in the working process of Eisenstein or Ridley Scott. It's not to produce great drawings (although Escher thought that anyone could learn). Its about documenting the development of your ideas. If you throw away the pencil you are missing a chance for direct connection with the realization of your idea
Brian Drysdale
Sketching skills are really useful, doing life drawing classes are a great way to develop them.
Gregg MacPherson
Back in art school most disciplines used to spend one day a week in life drawing class. I had a good friend who kept going with that after he went into the film program and swore it was really useful My idea is that it develops the co-ordination, integration of eye-mind-hand. It sort of teaches you to see.
