Hi.

I've tried to find a deapth of field table for motion picture on the internet but without any success. Does anyone know where I can find a table for both 16mm and 35mm that I can download for free???

Thanks in advance.

Majk

Just google for 35mm tables, they're a snap to find. 16mm is a bit tougher to find. Here's a DOF calculator I found online, it was the best I could do in a few minutes. I believe the usual corcle of confusion to ise for 16mm is .001 inch. So on this table use .002mm since you want to preferably round down your acceptable focus (from.00254mm)

Mr. Bunnies,

I'm not sure but I think you'll find tables in the American Cinematographer's

Handbook(The ASC). Also here's another hint- look at the focus ring of your

lens. While not ignoring principles of follow focus, use of tape measure etc. .

Yeah, you definately will find them there but I don't own a copy. It's almost criminal to publish a reference book and charge that much for it.

Yeah I know Mr. Bunnies,

But its a damn good book. I don't think I've had a time yet, that I could not

find an answer there. I know its pricey, especially if you are going to school.

I'll lend it to you if you want me to,but you'll have to give it back at some point

in time! Maybe after you make your first feature film.
