Thanks in advance. Majk <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just google for 35mm tables, they're a snap to find. 16mm is a bit tougher to find. Here's a DOF calculator I found online, it was the best I could do in a few minutes. I believe the usual corcle of confusion to ise for 16mm is .001 inch. So on this table use .002mm since you want to preferably round down your acceptable focus (from.00254mm)
Premium Member Greg Gross Posted December 5, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted December 5, 2004 (edited) Mr. Bunnies, I'm not sure but I think you'll find tables in the American Cinematographer's Handbook(The ASC). Also here's another hint- look at the focus ring of your lens. While not ignoring principles of follow focus, use of tape measure etc. . greg Edited December 5, 2004 by pd170user

It's almost criminal to publish a reference book and charge that much for it.
Premium Member Greg Gross Posted December 12, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted December 12, 2004 Yeah I know Mr. Bunnies, But its a damn good book. I don't think I've had a time yet, that I could not find an answer there. I know its pricey, especially if you are going to school. I'll lend it to you if you want me to,but you'll have to give it back at some point in time! Maybe after you make your first feature film. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted December 12, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted December 12, 2004 Believe me, the ASC Manual is not being sold at a high price considering the cost of printing & binding it. But I agree it IS expensive, but it's not because the ASC is overcharging for it.
