what technique contemporaneous cinematographer care about most?

I will write paper about cinematography,but I can not find interesting thing which is useful to cinematographer, so i hope some one could help me give me some suggest about writting the paper, what technique contemporaneous cinematographer care about most! and then i will do my best to do research about it ! thanks!

do you mean light naturalistic without professional light? just like that short VEDIO Reverie which used 5d mark 2 at 1600 iso.

I think you need a new topic. There isn't one technique a cinematographer cares about the most. The job is, and must be, an amalgamation of many many things and they all must be done well.
