Bob Hayes
Anyone know how they do the car shots on “Southland”? It looks like they have attached a platform to the side of the car and the operator just stands on it or sits on an apple box. The camera pans so you can see it is shot with out lights or towing. Dana Gonzales is one of the operators, he might know. I'll ask him and get back to you. Bob, we have both worked on Grand Turk, island of the zombies. When you look at the ocean, it's beautiful, just don't turn around. And, if you hold your breath long enough, the smell just goes away.
Dana Gonzales
Yes, we use a platform at times but we have several techniques we try to use depending on the material we are shooting
