Evan Ferrario
I have never seen an NPR with a magazine like this. Does anyone know any more information about it? http://cgi.ebay.com/Camera-Eclair-Coutan-N...id=p3286.c0.m14
Thibaut de Chemellier
Obviously, it was used to record sound on the 16mm film like Super 8mm ...I don't know if it was used a lot cause it's the first time I see that kind of magazine. I would say that at this time (70's) camera operator and sound engineer prefered to use the Nagra for more freedom ( no cables...) My 2 cents. Brian Drysdale
There was talk of a single system Aaton (or perhaps ACL?) during the 1970s. It could've been intended for those TV guys who shot both single and double system depending on the job, so they wouldn't need a second camera. The Arri 16BL could be used for both sound systems.
