Federico Prieto
Today I received a Canon Zoom DS8 with it case. The camera looks in a pristine condition and I believe it works very well. Tomorrow I will buy some batteries for test. For me is very hard to buy DS8 film.... And the development is near impossible in my country. So may be I will sale the camera in the US market. The question I have is how much is the value of this Canon? regads fp
Premium Member Oliver Christoph Kochs Posted January 18, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2010 If you're not going to keep it: this camera has a value of 400 US$ on ebay. I would buy it for that money. Send a PM if you are interested. Regards Oliver
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted January 18, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2010 The only source of DS8 film that I know of is John Schwind at International Film.

Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted January 18, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) One can enter Foma Bohemia's shop in Prague, Jungmannová 2, any time of the year and buy Fomapan R 100 in Double Super 8 and lengths of 33 or 100 foot. Gigabitfilm will be available in Double-Eight and Double Super 8 towards end 2011. Edited January 18, 2010 by Simon Wyss
George Odell
For those thinking of going Double Super-8mm you can also get the Canon camera modified for Crystal Control by The Film Group. As far as I know we are the only ones still doing the conversion to this and many other Super-8mm cameras. http://www.webtfg.com/sync8.htm Edited March 27, 2013 by George Odell
