I am going to make HDCAM sub-masters of the footage from Final Cut Pro. I am wondering if picture wise it makes any sense to master at HDCAM SR or if the H.264 footage is already so compressed that it wouldn't make a difference. what do we think? mh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jamie Metzger Posted February 20, 2010 Share Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) LTO would be a great choice as well, considering the cost of HDCAM tapes. The 7D does not generate as much media as a RED, so don't be worried about storage space. If you want a tape backup, LTO4 is the way to go.
