Brian Drysdale
Seems like there will be the option of using ProRes 4:2:2 or 4:4:4. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/04/arri-ale...inematic-bliss/
Premium Member John Sprung Posted April 7, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted April 7, 2010 Seems like there will be the option of using ProRes 4:2:2 or 4:4:4. Yes, going to a pair of SxS cards in a built-in module on the left side of the camera. They'll be able to swap in modules for other card standards as they come along. It was in the DGA presentation last night. Not yet announced, but ProRes is going to be more widely supported in the near future. -- J.S.

Mei Lewis
Nice looking pictures from it so far. http://www.arridigital.com/sites/default/f...%20Brochure.pdf The photo on page 9 is credited to the Arri, but most of the other photos have the camera in them, so were shot on something else? (DSLR?)

(DSLR?) Well it is a brochure, so I'd expect production stills to be taken with a stills camera rather than a camera designed for motion pictures.. It's world cup video in the other thread that looks interesting: http://www.arridigital.com/sites/default/f...World%20Cup.mp4

Jennie Shope
Stargate Studios tested the new ARRI Alexa by creating a short film called "World Cup," created and directed by Sam Nicholson. "World Cup" was shown to the DGA and at NAB this week.
