Frank Glencairn
The only question is: Will it deliver full HD out over HDMI while recording? If not, FAIL! Frank
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 19, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted August 19, 2010 Aliasing performance is key. As is price.
Emanuel A Guedes
I agree with both. As far as that sample concerns (a poor example I know), I don't see any aliasing though.
Emanuel A Guedes
Price should be around $500. A bargain, almost free for what it is.

Mike Lary
There's definitely some stair stepping. Look at the MS of the girl blowing bubbles. You can see it in the orange shirt outline. Also, you can see it in the trees in the WS of the family back-to looking over the water. And in the second video, in the overhead of the girls in the livingroom, it's blatantly obvious on the white outline of the couch. It's also on the faces in that video (and in many other areas). Also, the skin tones are flat - as are any solid color areas, and the blowouts look pretty horrendous.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 20, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted August 20, 2010 Yeah, but that's what a 5D looks like out of the box. For some reason there seems to be an aesthetic fashion - perhaps it's a Japanese thing - for really clippy pictures with lots of full white. P  :-) Odd and funny, how it is possible to release footage in that way. Edited August 20, 2010 by Emanuel A Guedes

Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 20, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted August 20, 2010 I did catch worrying glimpses of slow shutter wobble in that, unfortunately.
