Repair for a 2c motor

I'm looking for a tech to repair a crystal sync motor for an arri 2c. It's a 24fps crystal sync pistol grip motor. Does anyone know where I can go in the LA (or even if I have to send it away) who can take a look at it?

You might ask one of the big rental houses. Clairmont, for instance, has a big in-house repair shop. Anatoly at Slow Motion Inc, who does the Russian cameras, can also work on some of the early Arri's.

If it's the ARRI pistol grip sync motor, that is from the Arriflex 3C. You might want to talk to Axel Broda, he is in LA (actually Tehachapi, just outside LA) and he may be able to fix it or know who you could send it to.

Thanks for the suggestions. I still haven't been able to find a tech willing to look at it. I believe it's a minor electrical problem. Maybe even something as simple as a broken fuse box - so I'm thinking maybe even a repair electrician might be able to fix it. Any ideas on that end?

you can try taking it to a place that repairs electric motors. youd be surprised what they can do. the things can have their windings rewound for not a lot if thats the case. they are just electric motors at the end of the day.
