Pattyjae
Hi Everyone, I'm shooting a short film soon that takes place mostly at night. So I've been doing some lighting tests to make sure I'm fully prepared when it comes to shooting. I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on the lighting in the following still taken from a test shot. (Please note that I was not concerned about framing during this test). I know that I need a fill light for the actor's faces, but is there anything else it needs or doesn't need? Does this sell the look of night time? Also, the highlights sit at just below 30 IRE, is this too underexposed? Thanks so much! Pattyjae Edited June 27, 2011 by Pattyjae
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted June 27, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted June 27, 2011 I would really consider a back light and an eye light for that particular setting. You can't tell where he ends and the BG starts.... he's a floating head.
