Robin Leveille
haha ok so I'm trying to mount an array of FD lenses on My bolex EBM. I already own a bayonet to c-mount adapter from Bolex. I was wondering if I could mount an FD to C-mount adapter to it like this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/116732-REG/General_Brand_VA301_C_Mount_Adapter_for_Canon.html Any drawbacks or issues if I go this route instead of having one fabricated? Thanks :) Robin Leveille
Jean-Louis Seguin
It should work fine if the Canon lenses aren't too heavy. The Bolex bayonet to C adapters are easily distorted by heavy lenses. Better for heavy lenses would be the Canon to Bolex bayonet adapters sold by JKCamera. Robin Leveille
Perfect! I purchased one. Also, I Pm'd you about a super16 conversion. Thanks, Robin Léveillé Edited August 16, 2011 by Robin Leveille
Steven Vanpotter
hey,,i have a cp16r,,i was looking at the bolex bayonet adapter in c mount,,i was wondering the size of the bolex bayonet that i think would fit into my cp16r mount,,?if it fit i could turn the ring and clamp the bayo into the cp mount,,that would be soooo great if it worked,,i could use c mount and maybe m42 in my cp16r,,,so,,i was just wondering if anyone had the size of the bolex bayo mount,,,,worth a shot.???? Jean-Louis Seguin
The Bolex bayonet mount has a considerably shorter flange focal distance than the CP-16R. It just won't work. Jean-Louis
