Benjamin Clarke
I'm about to take the plunge and put down my cold hard cash for a Canon 1014 XL-S. I hear nothing but great things about these cameras, but is there any problems that I should be looking for when buying one? Cheers! EDIT: I should probably note that this camera would be being operated on a weekly basis. Edited September 12, 2012 by Benjamin Clarke

EDIT: I should probably note that this camera would be being operated on a weekly basis. There is little to test ahead. The foam lighttrap in the cartrdige bay door will be gone or became sticky. Check the battery bay. The lock on the grip can grow stubborn. A drop of silicon grase helps there. Best not pay too much unless it is garanteed. Check the grip and trigger for polished appearences. When it was used a lot the plastic will be shiny were it used to matted. The really nice ones have a gentle pur. Squeeking and grinding are not good :) Check it with film. Transport, steadiness and exposure .

Matt Stevens
Tap film cartridges on your hand 9the flat side0 like a pack of cigs to loosen them up. Trust me. It will help prevent jamming.
