Removing captions

Hey All;

Sitting here on my Mac and i got a client who wants me to pull out the captions on some .flv files they have and provide them with a way to put them on a new system they are using. It's kinda of warm-body work, but it's getting slow so I said I'd look into seeing if it's possible. However, I can't find any way to go about doing it which works with the original files, so I figured i"d ask if anyone has an idea.
