Is Panavision working on a digital IMAX camera?

Seems unlikely Panavision would spend so much money developing a large sensor camera that can't use their huge inventory of lenses. I expect their camera to have a Super-35 sensor.

That's what I thought as well. They could go the ARRI route and make a Super35 camera and an anamorphic 35 camera for each of their lines of PV lenses.

The rumor is that there's an option to window down the 70mm (8K?) sensor to 42 and 35mm frame.

Yes I heard that it has a 70mm sensor and uses new enlarged Primo lenses.
