Garland Greene
Hi everyone! I'm just curious if anyone on here knows how the look of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was achieved. Stock, lighting setups, etc. Inside the ships, Khans lair on Ceti Alpha V, the station, Regula hallways with Kirk and co. Looking around etc. I firmly believe this is very underrated photography wise. Anything anybody can share would be appreciated beyond measure. Thanks and I hope you are all having a nice day. Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted April 9, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted April 9, 2013 It was shot on the first Fuji high-speed stock, which I believe was 250 ISO, other than efx elements shot on Kodak 5247. Panavision anamorphics, probably C-series.
Mark Dunn
I'm flattered. We used A250 for a film school doc in 1982. It was the only show in town above 100ISO. I still have a 100' can, alas empty, of the 500ISO 8524 which would make a good ashtray if I smoked. That must have come from my time with the military in the late 80s, though- surely it wasn't available in 1982? Edit: definitely. It's 2R short-perf.
